About Us

Kids Start Ltd is directed by two former childcare managers, both previously employed at Manchester City Council with over 20 years childcare experience. Kids Start Northenden opened in 2014. Following the success of this nursery, our second Kids Start nursery opened in Baguley in January 2017. Children and families are at the heart of all we do. We believe in building a strong leadership team in order to ensure all our team are supported to the best of their ability and in turn ensuring each child enjoys and achieves. We have a fantastic qualified team including Early Years Teachers, a Primary school teacher and Early Years Practitioners working alongside all our other childcare practitioners. We also have a Music Director who works throughout both nurseries running music sessions for all ages. With all the fantastic training and experience from working for a big organisation like Manchester City Council, and our vision for Kids Start Ltd, we strive to make a real difference to children’s lives. We aim to give children the best start on their learning journey, so that they can go on to enjoy, achieve and be successful learners.

Our Curriculum

We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). This is a very important stage as it helps your child get ready for school as well as preparing them for their future learning and successes. From when you child is born up to the age of 5, their early years experience should be: happy, active, exciting, fun and secure. These experiences should also support their development, care and learning needs.
